SF Performance, Inc. owner, Steve Frye started racing MX in 1980. In 1983 he finished 3rd in points in AMA District 17 and then moved to 125A in 1984 where he finished 7th in points in Ditrict 17 and 13th overal at the NMA Ponca City Amateur Nationals.
After high school in 1984 Steve worked in a local Kawasaki shop where he became the service manager at age 19. After that shop was sold and a string of injuries in the spring of '85 he went to work on his fathers farm. After several years away from the sport, he returned to it after his son Brody was born. Steve and his wife Chris (along with their 2 children Brody and Stefanie) opened a small shop on their property along with a track for Steve and Brody (his then 3 year old son) to ride on. They soon outgrew that shop and moved into their new location (pictured here). They are now a LEM dealer and have one of the best and biggest selections of Offroad Gear in the area.
